If you worked it out…it is always the right thing to offer forgiveness. That’s part of the marriage vows of for better or worse and in good times and in bad.
    You are a good man.

It depends on what you mean by "working it out". If you can trust your wife again 100% then I’d say you’ve done the right thing. However, if you still can’t trust her and don’t know when you’ll be able too, then I’m not so sure.

I’m not a man, but i don’t understand "together as a family worked it out"… do you mean just the two of you, or the entire family?

We all have to learn lessons – and if you feel your wife regrets what happened and is going to work on being faithful, it might be the right thing.

When people have affairs, sometimes there is a marital problem Other times it’s a personal issue. Have you considered marriage counseling so you have a neutral party to help you through this? Sometimes it helps.

I’d say I did the wrong thing. I would never deal with a wife that cheated on me–let alone actually get caught doing the deed, too.

Wow! Just wow! More power to you, man.

There is no working it out after that. The suspicion and doubt will forever contaminate the relationship.

LETS SEE, IS IT WORKING OUT NOW FOR YOU TWO? IF IT IS THEN IT WAS THE RIGHT THING, PUT IT BEHIND YOU AND OUT OF YOUR MIND AND IT SHOULD ALL BE GOOD

If you worked it out, and are rebuilding trust, then it is the right thing.
